Borewell Pumps
Choosing the right pump is crucial when it comes to borewell services. At City Borewells Pvt Ltd., we use Submersible and Compressor pumps for water extraction. Submersible pumps are fully submerged in the water, which makes them highly efficient as they don’t require priming and are ideal for open wells and borewells. For a 6″ borewell, the appropriate submersible pump will have an outer diameter of around 5 inches to allow for smooth lowering and rotation.
For higher pump capacities, such as a 10 HP pump, the diameter of the rising pipe, which carries water to the surface, will typically range from 2″ to 3″, depending on the discharge. A pump’s performance also depends on the speed, diameter, and stages of its impellers, all of which are specified by the manufacturer. Deeper borewells require additional stages for a given discharge capacity.
We also utilize Borewell Compressor pumps, which operate on the principle of differing water column densities to achieve water flow. This method is effective for borewells with varying yield levels.
